Available Alert Types
watt.ma offers three ready-to-use alert categories:- Station offline: triggered when a station stops communicating with the OCPP server for more than a few minutes.
- Abnormally long session: alert if a charge exceeds a duration threshold you define (useful for detecting an unplugged vehicle).
- Connector error: notification in case of hardware fault, overheating, or communication error reported by the station.
Create an Alert
1
Open the alerts page
Sign in to watt.ma, then go to Stations > Alerts in the sidebar menu.
2
Choose the alert type
Click New alert. Select the event type to monitor: station offline, long session, or connector error.
3
Define the scope
Apply the alert to your entire fleet, a specific site, or an individual station. This granularity prevents you from receiving notifications for sites you do not manage directly.
4
Configure the notification channel
Choose one or more channels:
- Email: enter the address of the technical manager or site manager.
- WhatsApp: enter the phone number in international format (+212…). The message is sent automatically from watt.ma’s official number.
5
Adjust advanced settings
For long sessions, set the threshold in minutes or hours. For offline stations, specify the grace period before triggering (default: 5 minutes).
6
Activate and test
Save the alert, then click Test to send a test notification and verify that the email or WhatsApp message is received.
