Payment Architecture
Supported Payment Methods
Single card payment
The driver enters their bank card for a one-time payment. The payment method is not saved to the profile. Suitable for visitors and public chargers.
Saved payment method
The driver links a card or account to their watt.ma profile. Recurring invoices are debited automatically. Available starting with the Production plan.
CMI QR code
Scan a QR code displayed on the charger or phone, pay via the Moroccan banking app. Available now, with native integration into the CMI network.
Stripe
International Visa and Mastercard cards, recurring debit, refunds, and multi-currency support. Integration in progress. Visit the dedicated page to join the pilot program.
Bank transfer
Payment by transfer to the syndicate or operator account. Reconciled manually in watt.ma. Common in co-ownerships and B2B billing.
Where Payment Methods Are Used
Activate a Payment Provider
1
Open Settings > Payments
Sign in to web.watt.ma, then go to Settings > Payments. This page lists the available providers for your organization.
2
Choose a provider
Click on the desired provider: CMI or Stripe. Each provider displays its status (active, pending configuration, unavailable).
3
Enter credentials
Enter the credentials provided by your bank (CMI) or your Stripe Dashboard account (publishable key, secret key, webhook endpoint). In test mode, you can use sandbox keys to validate the flow without a real debit.
4
Assign the provider to a site
For each site, open the configuration and select the default payment provider. You can assign CMI to the public site at the shopping center and Stripe to the destination site for tourists.
Payments are always expressed in Moroccan dirhams (MAD) for CMI flows. Stripe will allow multi-currency support when the integration is finalized. Check the roadmap for updates.
