The watt.ma pricing engine lets you build each charging price from multiple components: energy, connection fees, time, idle fees, and discounts. You can charge per kilowatthour, per hour of connection, or offer fixed-rate packages, then assign these tariffs at the level of a site, a charger, or a user group. This page guides you through creating a complete tariff.

Create a new tariff

In the sidebar, go to Sessions > Tariffs, then click New tariff. Enter a recognizable name (for example, “Hotel guest tariff” or “Residence off-peak”).

Choose a pricing mode

Select one of the three modes:
  • Per kWh: price per kilowatthour consumed, the most common for public charging
  • Per hour: fixed price per hour of connection, suitable for long-term parking
  • Flat rate: fixed amount per session, regardless of duration or energy

Configure differentiated pricing (optional)

Enable the Off-peak / peak hours option to apply two different prices depending on the time period. Define the corresponding time windows. This feature is useful for encouraging charging during periods of low electricity demand.

Assign the tariff to chargers or sites

Once the tariff is saved, click Assign. Select the sites or specific chargers this tariff applies to. You can associate several tariffs with different contexts (public, residential, fleet).

Tariff priority

When several tariffs could apply to the same session, watt.ma follows a deterministic hierarchy from the most specific to the most general. For example, a tariff attached to a connector takes priority over a tariff attached to the entire site. If you configure overlapping tariffs, it is advisable to understand this logic before going live. To learn more, see Tariff priority.
Amounts shown in watt.ma are expressed in Moroccan dirhams (MAD). The applicable VAT in Morocco for electric charging services is 20%. You must configure the VAT rate in your account billing settings so that receipts and reports reflect the correct amounts including tax.
