Group tariffs let you apply different prices depending on the driver profile. You can reward residents, employees, or fleet subscribers while maintaining a standard public tariff on the same chargers. watt.ma associates each driver with a group and automatically applies the corresponding pricing rule.

Use cases

Driver groups address various needs:
  • Public: occasional drivers paying the full tariff, often via CMI QR code.
  • Employees: discount for employees of a company with chargers on the parking lot.
  • Residents: preferential tariff for inhabitants of a residence equipped with shared chargers.
  • Company fleet: specific tariff, sometimes tracked by a centralized billing account for internal invoicing.
  • VIP: free or heavily reduced tariff for partners or privileged customers.

Types of group rules

When you create a group rule, you choose from four modes:

Create a group and associate drivers

To set up a group tariff, follow these steps:

Create the group

Go to Sessions > Group tariffs and click New group. Name it explicitly: “Atlas Logistics Employees”, “Parking A Residents”, etc.

Choose the rule type and amount

Select the rule type (percentage discount, fixed discount, alternative tariff, or free) and enter the amount or complete tariff.

Associate RFID badges

Link the group to one or more RFID badges. When a driver presents their badge, watt.ma identifies them and applies the group tariff. You can also link a badge to a specific billing account.

Link to billing accounts

If you have enabled residential or enterprise billing, associate the group with a billing account so that charges are grouped on a single periodic invoice.

Example: Atlas Logistics

Atlas Logistics has four drivers who regularly use the site chargers. The configuration is as follows:
  • Site public tariff: 2.80 MAD/kWh
  • Group “Atlas Fleet”: alternative tariff at 1.70 MAD/kWh
  • The four drivers each have an RFID badge associated with the group “Atlas Fleet”
Result: when an Atlas Logistics employee presents their badge on charger CP-003, watt.ma identifies the group and applies 1.70 MAD/kWh instead of 2.80 MAD/kWh.

Permissions

  • Admin: can create, modify, delete groups and associate drivers.
  • Operator: can create and modify groups, associate existing badges.
  • Reader: can view the list of groups and their tariffs, with no ability to modify.
